The Pros and Cons of Having a Career in Nursing

Why would anyone ever go to the infirmary? If you ask this question, you are probably very familiar with the negative side of nursing. I am a nurse for about 8 years, and I am also very aware of the drawbacks. Fortunately, I am also aware of the many benefits of being a nurse. Let me enlighten both sides of the coin.

Less than a nursing career

Ignorant people see you as a server or a glorified waitress. Image probably fetch flat all day. Which leads me to swindle # 2
You have to search a lot of urinals.
Sometimes you will feel underpaid for the work you do. Remember the difference you make.
It will be very low most of the time. This is something you have to deal with in many areas now.
You will work long hours, half the time on holidays and weekends.
nursing school is very difficult. You will need to study more than most students.
There are health risks working in the field of medicine. You could be exposed to a number of ailments. There are, however, many resources and safeguards put in place to avoid this.
Do not let this list scare you for now. There are still many benefits to be a nurse. Read some more before making your decision.

More nursing career

You will have a positive impact on the lives of patients and their families. Even when patients have poor results, you can still have a positive impact. This alone could be enough reward to enter the field.
There are so many different areas to work in nursing. You can do the nursing night in dozens of different roles, or you can do something like case management. You can enter the administration, research, or even blogs like I did.
The field of nursing has some of the best job security of any profession. If you can not find a job in a specialty, there is always another option.
Most nurses work three days a week. I prefer to work a regular schedule, but this type of schedule not afford the opportunity to do things during the week.
You are constantly challenged to grow and improve. This is something that may seem difficult at first, but will help tremendously later in his career.
You will have a community of nursing colleagues. Nurses tend to stay together. They are his band of brothers and sisters .... Nurses must rely on each other constantly. This creates a unique proximity, not always found in other areas.
Last but not least, you'll have to use scrubs to work, leading his friends to think that their life is like Grey's Anatomy. I assure you it will not. In fact no nurses in the show anyway.
There are many more benefits that may have put on this list. Nursing is a challenging and rewarding career. Unfortunately, this is not for everyone. If the "professionals" do and "against" scary not convince, then nursing is probably not for you. only one person is needed to make a good nurse.
